Hope you guys enjoyed our Cheetahstand video review. The Cheetah C8 is the workhorse for our studio, we bring it to every wedding because of its ease of use. I honestly could not imagine having to collapse light stands again or having to walk around a wedding and clipping people in the shins with the legs that stick out. It really is the little things that makes the day go by much smoother so do yourself a favor and pic up these bad-ass stands, don’t pay the newbie tax. (if you don’t know “newbie tax” its buying something cheap, then it breaks THEN you go and buy the real deal)
One thing we forgot to mention on the video was the rubber feet on the stands, this is an awesome feature in that it prevents sliding on smooth surfaces like reception hall dance floors.
Here are some close-up shots of the threads on the Cheetah lightstands.

Love using these stands. I used to use other stands that were the same size as the C8 but they took forever to unfold the legs and felt clumsy to move around in a church or at reception. The legs on the C8 definitely feel more sturdy. Even though you should always secure a stand with a bag to prevent topping over, I know it can withstand a little bump and not fall over when I’m on location.
putting it on my list for Santa!
